Hiroki Kobayashi

Co-founded the Covalent Group in 2016 after working at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting.

His strengths are overseas business experience and consulting experience, as well as experience in the field introduction of cutting-edge technologies represented by xR, AI, blockchain, and robotics.

At Covalent, researchOversee services. Operating a detailed information provision service on overseas markets and cutting-edge technologies based on the research skills acquired through experience as a consultant.

Utilizing his expertise, he is also responsible for projects related to government agencies represented by the Commerce and Information Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

He also serves as a director of an advanced technology startup in which the group invests, and utilizes it to discover issues and needs in the technical field.​

Felt the limit of traditional consulting and advisory services. Therefore, set up Covalent and focusing on innovations and technologies that drive client business. Brief career summary:

  • Involved in strategic design for automotive clients and MALC (M&A Life Cycle) projects at Deloitte

  • Led and launched global business at Quipper. Also involved in fundraising

  • ​Worked on various investments / exits (e.g. Kakao, Sansan, Freee, Visask, etc.) at DCM

  • ​Currently manage Covalent group's business development and portfolio support

Winson Huang

Winson co-founded Covalent China and serves as Head of China practice. As a qualified fund practitioner in China, Winson has intense connections with financial institutions and investors. As well as networks in Hongkong and Taiwan. Past experience as below.

  • Citibank, Shenzhen: covered in financing debt and international investment

  • Sinopac, Taiwan: responsible for strategic investment

  • CN Innovations, Hong Kong:  responsible for IPO strategy advice 

  • Yuanta Securities, Taiwan and Deloitte, Taiwan
